Crafted in the Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu.
The Toda Edition reinterprets the sacred threadwork of the Toda tribe, a pastoral community known for their distinctive red-and-black embroidery passed down through generations. Traditionally woven by Toda women as part of ceremonial dress, each motif carries spiritual symbolism and tribal memory.
With its sculptural form and timeless contrast palette, the bag holds the quiet rhythm of 85 hours of hand-embroidery — every curve an echo of the Nilgiri hills.
Only 25 exist, each a living heirloom from one of India’s oldest hand traditions.

MATERIALS & CARE
Organic cotton base, hand-embroidered with Toda “pukhoor” stitching, a reverse chain technique unique to the tribe. Natural dyes and undyed cotton thread are used for ethical sustainability.
Care: Handle with clean, dry hands. Spot clean with a soft cloth. Do not bleach or machine wash. For longevity, store in a cloth pouch and avoid prolonged direct sunlight.
